HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI OPEN HOUSE THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA

The Scout Association of Malaysia hosted its annual Open House recently, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. The event was attended by more than 400 family members of the association and invitational.

The Keramat Zone District of WP Kuala Lumpur was being honored to help offer service in serving food and beverage to all. The Distict was represented by the “J” Rover Scout Crew, which consisted of 10 Rover Scouts,including 2 Assistant District Commissioners to help make the event a success.

Guests were served with popular Malaysian food ,like Laksa and Cendol, together with a Western touch of Spaghetti. During the event, guest were also entertained by a band performance with songs consisting of Raya,Rock,Pop and Ballad, from the 70’s to the latest.


Meanwhile, Dato’ Seri Haji Shafie Mohd Salleh was interviewed by Edu Web TV, a digital education portal of the Ministry of Education, on how the association compliments the Open House tradition and 1Malaysia concept. At the same time, the “J”Rover Scout Crew had 3 of its members interviewed as well on the same subject.

“The Scout Association of Malaysia is not just a mere medium, but is the best example that the country can look at for the mirror image of the 1Malaysia concept”, said Dato’ Seri Haji shafie Mohd Salleh, Malaysia Chief Scout.

Prior to the Open House, on the same day, the association conducted its third session of the coronation of the 100 years of Malaysia Scout and Education Excellence Medals to about 30 individuals.
